Sergio is an Agricultural Engineer in Crop Science from the Technological Institute of Morelia Valley, with a Master’s in Soil Science from the Postgraduate College, Montecillo, State of Mexico. His research program focuses on nutrient management in fruit farming and regenerative practices in crops, particularly avocados and berries, as well as their integrated pest management. He has conducted research in the metagenomics of avocado cultivation. Currently, he is a lecturer at the Institute of Apatzingán Valley, where he also serves as a research professor and teaches courses to producers, agricultural students, and agronomical engineers.
